Can I hide or archive customers in The Portal Genie?

The Portal Genie imports customer records from your connected accounting software. This keeps your client information aligned with your accounting system and reduces the need to maintain the same customer records in multiple places.

Can I hide or remove an individual customer?

Currently, The Portal Genie does not provide an option to hide or archive individual customers from the customer list.

Customers loaded in your connected accounting software may therefore appear in The Portal Genie even if they are no longer active customers.

What about customers who are no longer active?

We plan to introduce the ability to archive customers who are no longer active. This will make it easier to manage dormant customers and keep your customer list focused on the clients you currently work with.

Until this functionality is available, inactive customers may continue to appear in the customer list.

Can I exclude inactive customers from communications?

Yes. You do not need to send portal communications to every customer in your customer list.

The Scheduled Email feature allows you to create an email template and schedule communications for your active customers.

From the Clients table, you can also use Import XLS to bulk assign an email template to specific clients. This allows you to target the customers you want to contact while excluding customers who are no longer active.
