How can I send portal emails only to selected customers?
You can control which customers receive communications about their Portal Genie client portal.
This is particularly useful if your customer list contains inactive or dormant customers that you do not want to contact.
Step 1: Create your email template
Use the Scheduled Email feature to create the email template you want to send to your customers.
Your template can be used to notify active customers about their client portal.
See Scheduled Client Email Notifications for more on creating and scheduling email campaigns.
Step 2: Select the customers who should receive it
From the Clients table, use Import XLS to bulk assign the appropriate email template to specific clients.
This allows you to target your active customers rather than sending the communication to everyone in the customer list.
Step 3: Exclude inactive customers
Do not assign the email template to customers you no longer want to contact.
This provides a way to keep portal communications focused on active customers even while inactive customers remain visible in the customer list.
For background on why inactive customers may still appear in your list, see Can I hide or archive customers in The Portal Genie?.
