Client Document Uploads

On Pro, clients can upload documents directly to your Client Portal — giving your team a structured way to receive files without chasing email attachments.

How client uploads work

1. You configure which folders accept client uploads
2. Clients open their portal and navigate to an upload-enabled folder
3. They select and upload their file
4. The document becomes available in your Portal Genie account for your team to review

You stay in control of where uploads are permitted and which clients can submit files.

Typical use cases

Client uploads are useful when you need clients to provide:

• Signed documents and agreements
• Tax records and supporting schedules
• Identity or compliance documentation
• Project files and deliverables for review

Rather than managing attachments across email threads, files arrive in the correct client folder within your portal.

Folder permissions

Not every folder needs to accept uploads. Enable upload permissions only on folders where client submissions make sense — keeping the portal organised and purposeful.
