Accounting documents from your integration

When your accounting software is connected, invoices, statements, quotes and credit notes from Xero, QuickBooks Online or Sage Business Cloud appear in your Client Portal automatically.

Clients access these documents through secure portal login — not via emailed PDFs.

Uploaded and custom documents

Your team can upload additional documents for clients — contracts, reports, letters or any file your clients need to access. Assign documents to the relevant client and place them in the appropriate folder.

Client assignment and visibility

Documents are assigned to specific clients so each person sees only what is relevant to them. Folder visibility settings control what appears in each client's portal view.

Secure access and downloads

Clients sign in through the secure OTP process described in How Clients Access Your Portal. Once verified, they can view and download documents from their assigned folders.

Notifying clients about new documents

Enable new document notifications so clients receive an email when documents are assigned and available in their portal.

On Pro, clients can upload documents to folders you permit — useful for receiving signed forms, tax records or supporting files.
